Winter Festival

Swim AB Winter Festival 2025

Date:             January 24-26 (Friday, Saturday & Sunday)

Travel:          This is a team travel event (via bus*). Bus departs Friday morning and returns Sunday evening.

Accomodations:    Swimmers/Families are staying on their own (this is not a chaperoned event supervising swimmers in the hotel).

Swimmers and families will still stay on their own - either at the team hotel or other accommodations. The team has a team hotel blocked for families to use (see hotel block info). Families may choose to stay at another property of their choice but swimmers must be dropped off at the team hotel prior to each bus departure and picked up after each bus arrival. Families can travel on the team bus to the meet if they are staying at the team hotel - available seats permitting (limited based on interest).

*Swimmers will travel via team bus up to the event, travel back and forth from the team hotel to the pool each session and return to Calgary via team bus. Swimmers will be required to be at the pool for departure and will be required to stay the entire session being dropped off back at team hotel. 

Pool: Kinsman Sports Centre, Edmonton

Host Club:     Swim Alberta and Strathcona County Swim Club

Swimmers Attending:       Festival Time Standard Qualifiers (must achieve at least one Festival Time Standard to attend meet) (12&U Females / 12&U Males)

 

Meet Entry Fees: $17 per individual event 

Management Fee: $225 per swimmer (management fee applies to all swimmers attending)

Equipment: Bring all your Cascade Team Equipment to wear 

 **Please be on deck 15 minutes prior to the start of warm-up    

Confirmation Deadline: Friday, December 27, 2024 4:00 PM

Coaches will notify Swim Alberta of qualifiers after entry deadline. Swimmers may qualify up to January 20, 2025.

By confirming your attendance you are also agreeing to a possible 20% cost overrun to cover unforeseen expenses.
